With this collaboration, Limestone Network and MI Supply will work together to roll out a smart industry park powered by blockchain technology.
Advancing city developments
As the go-to manufacturer of AAC Blocks in Cambodia and around the region, MI Supply is advancing multiple cities’ developments by supplying a key material that reduces costs of construction and maintenance.
Limestone Network is proud to support the expansion and distribution of MI Supply’s AAC Blocks as part of its goal to further the progress of smart city developments. MI Supply will also accept trading of AAC Blocks bundles using the Limestone token (LIMEX).
What is AAC Block
Also known as Aerated Lightweight Concrete blocks (ALC Blocks), AAC Blocks are lightweight, precast, foam concrete that provides multiple construction attributes such as high compressive strength, acoustic and thermal insulation and extreme fire- and mold-resistance. Manufactured from natural raw materials, AAC Blocks is also an environmentally friendly and non-toxic building material.
Weighing three times lighter than traditional clay bricks, AAC Blocks have gained massive popularity worldwide since 2012 with almost 80 per cent of construction works using them.
“We use only state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture AAC blocks. We believe that with this breakthrough lightweight construction material, we can help construction companies improve efficiency and help building managements cut down on expenditure such as utility costs due to its better heat insulation,” says Lee Yue Cheng, Director of MI Supply.
Smart Industrial Park initiative with MSQM Park
This collaboration falls under the Smart Industrial Park initiative between Limestone Network and MSQM Park where MI Supply is a tenant at.
MSQM Park, a 3.6-hectare modern industrial hub strategically located in the Prek-Ho district of Kandal Province, Cambodia, is looking to leverage the fast-growing blockchain technology to boost productivity and innovation for its tenants.
Limestone Network provides a low-cost financial exchange infrastructure built upon its blockchain capability. The blockchain method of cryptography and the characteristics of distributed ledger technology also ensures transaction efficiency and immutability, effectively resolving security issues.
Through Limestone Network, the retail shops, tenants, consumers and the building management of MSQM Park would be able to interact with each other on a deeper level to provide an integrated and seamless Smart City experience.
“There is significant potential in working with MI Supply to shape and transform the future of city developments in terms of both construction and technology. Together, we look forward to build and strengthen the smart city landscape in Southeast Asia,” said Eddie Lee, co-founder and managing partner of Limestone Network.
